Coffee and Turntables returns this weekend for a month-long residency in our new home, The Bagelry. Found in the heart of Liverpool’s historic China Town, this great cafe is also one of Liverpool’s best bakeries, as shown by a dollar bill recently given to them inscribed with “THE BEST BAGELS OUTSIDE NEW YORK”.
We can’t wait to get started spinning records on a Saturday afternoon as we sup coffee and soak up the smells of toasty warm bread.

We kick off our four February dates with Linster Sangster, of Beers for Queers fame this weekend. We’ve been hoping to get Linster for a while and we’re really looking forward to hearing those tunes that have set the Baltic’s District ablaze.

In week two (8th Feb) we welcome back DJ Masster Modulation himself – our old pal Marty. It just wouldn’t be Coffee and Turntables without him. This one is Chinese New Year and town will be packed! Get yourself down early and bag yourself a spot!

Another friend of C&T and long-time understudy Caitlyn will be giving us her inaugural Saturday set in week three (16th Feb). Caitlyn has had spots at Maguires, Outpost and Plastique Fantastique on Smithdown Road. This one’s gonna be interesting!

Rounding us off in the final week of the month will be Joey from Weird Sex – we’ve been promised something different from his usual driving raucous racket! l guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Last weekend Ivan came on Pete’s regular vinyl podcast, Hefty Tomatoes, to chat about the new year, our new DJ dates and some cracking new additions to our record boxes. Take a listen below. We might be biased but we reckon these tunes are all killer!
So get yourself down to Coffee and Turntables 3 at The Bagelry all throughout February! There’ll be good times, fab food, killer coffee and the usual great vibes!
