BALTICFEST: The Venues

There are four great locations for BalticFest, each chosen for their coffee, food and vibes. Check them out below and go along in person, whether we are DJing or not. You won’t regret it!

You can see a map showing the venues below. They are all nearby too!

Accessibility: Chapters of Us, Coffee and Fandish and 92 Degrees are all on the ground floor and have accessible-friendly toilets. Though Vault’s courtyard is accessible it’s toilets require a flight of steps.

PLEASE NOTE: All DJ & Live Music events will take place outdoors, and public attendance will be limited to the outdoor seating normally provided by the venues involved, i.e. first come, first served – venues might reserve the right to turn attendees away if no more tables are available, so come early! All events will comply with the most up-to-date Health & Safety advice and regulations in place, including social distancing, track & trace, sound levels as ambient backing music etc. For any queries, please contact us.

Chapters of Us

44 Simpson Street

A really great addition to the Baltic and a firm fave of Coffee and Turntables. We had some great evenings outside as part of our Baltic Takeover in 2020. It’s a large space for social distancing and has an open air area at the back for live music, with DJs out front in the street. Check out their ever changing blackboard menu!

Hosting: Friday 28th May – Live music (courtyard at the back); DJs (out front in the street); Liverpool Psyche Lab (events space)

92 Degrees

(aka The Baltic Roastery)

49 Jamaica Street

After their early days roasting beans on Hardman Street, 92 Degrees now have four locations in Liverpool alone, plus one each in Manchester and Leeds. Their second café, slap bang on Jamaica Street in the heart of the Baltic, became home of the original Coffee and Turntables summer residency in 2018. We’ve returned every year since to bring smiles to the pedestrians and passers by of the Baltic.

Hosting: Saturday 29th May – Live DJs (out front); Record fair (inside)

Vault

3-4 Great George Street
(Behind the Wedding Shop)

Vault is a family business with beautiful basement rooms and a secluded courtyard that boasts views of the cathedral. Hidden in plain sight, you can find Vault below and behind the grade II listed Wedding House on the corner. Look out for the massive John Culshaw murals painted on the side! Home to a Coffee and Turntables residency in 2020, we fell in love with its charm and the friendly family vibe.

Hosting: Saturday 29th May – Liverpool Pyschedelic Society takeover – Live music and LPS DJs (courtyard)

Coffee and Fandisha

5 Brick Street

Taking it’s name from an Ethiopian tradition of coffee with popcorn, Fandisha is a great space in the middle of the creative quarter. Kim and Keelie serve up some of the best food in the city. Check out the ‘Yellow Wall’ inside, a place for local artists to exhibit their work. A Coffee and Turntables favourite, C&F was part of our Baltic Takeover in 2020.

Hosting: Saturday 30th May – Closing Party, DJs and treats (outside)

PLEASE NOTE: All DJ & Live Music events will take place outdoors, and public attendance will be limited to the outdoor seating normally provided by the venues involved, i.e. first come, first served – venues might reserve the right to turn attendees away if no more tables are available, so come early!
