BALTICFEST 2022: LIVE MUSIC

enjoy some unique acoustic sets at hobo kiosk

The Liverpool Psychedelic Society is once again curating the live music for Balticfest. This year, we’re taking over Hobo Kiosk, Liverpool’s most unique pub. And, as expected, you’ll be in for a treat – an unique psychedelic atmosphere with video projections and lights will transform Hobo Kiosk for the event, and the live performers will offer a wide range of acoustic music.

PLEASE NOTE: Hobo Kiosk has a mask-wearing policy – please wear yours when entering venue or standing up in the pub. Limited-seating at Hobo Kiosk so booking ahead is recommended. Message 07841 611471 or email hobokiosk@gmail.com

WHERE: Hobo Kiosk (9 Bridgewater St, Liverpool L1 0AR)

WHEN: from 4pm-10pm

Pete & The Welcome Addition

PETE & THE WELCOME ADDITION

Pete is the other co-founder of Coffee and Turntables and also a musician. He’s about to release a second solo album and his quirky pop songs are delightful and original.

ONSTAGE: 5:30pm

Ivan Thunders

IVAN THUNDERS

Ivan is the guitarist in Thee Lucifer Sams and co-founder of Coffee and Turntables and Liverpool Psychedelic Society. His acoustic live sets use loops and samples to create an unique psychedelic sound.

ONSTAGE: 6:15pm

Anna Kunz / Torture and the Desert Spiders

TORTURE AND THE DESERT SPIDERS (SOLO)

Torture and the Desert Spiders is a band, and also the name under which its singer/guitarist Anna Kunz performs solo. This young musician from New York has become a fixture in Liverpool’s music scene, thanks to her outstanding vocals and talent for writing great songs.

ONSTAGE: 7pm

TEXAS BOB

Directly from L.A., comes Texas Bob Juarez, the guitarist in indie legends Television Personalities, whose prolific solo work takes you on a journey to the beauty and darkness of Los Angeles life.

ONSTAGE: 8pm

Blue Eyed Crows

BLUE EYED CROWS

The Blue Eyed Crows debuted live just over an year ago at the first Balticfest, and we’re pleased to have them back! This Liverpool band was born fully formed – a psychedelic blues rock combo that’s infectious, even when reduced to acoustic guitar & vocals for a pared-down acoustic performance.

ONSTAGE: 9pm

“We have to create culture, don’t watch TV, don’t read magazines, don’t even listen to NPR. Create your own roadshow. ” – Terence McKenna

CREATE YOUR OWN CULTURE

Special thanks to: Chris Green (Baltic Creative), Julia Auchey (92 Degrees Coffee), Richie Yates and Adrian Wharton for 2021 photos, Tris & Delia Brady-Jacobs (Hobo Kiosk), Nathan Pendlebury (One Nathan Under A Groove Record Fair) and all the performers and DJs who made this festival possible.
