BALTICFEST 2022: B-SIDES PARTY

BRING YOUR OWN VINYL, WE’LL PLAY THE B-SIDE!

B-Sides party is a “Bring your own vinyl”, open-deck event organised by Coffee and Turntables. We do it semi-regularly at Hobo, once a month, and we decided to incorporate it to this year’s Balticfest. All styles are welcome but… we’ll only play the B-side!

PLEASE NOTE: Hobo Kiosk has a mask-wearing policy – please wear yours when entering venue or standing up in the pub. Limited-seating at Hobo Kiosk so booking ahead is recommended. Message 07841 611471 or email hobokiosk@gmail.com

WHERE: Hobo Kiosk (9 Bridgewater St, Liverpool L1 0AR)

WHEN: from 3am-10pm (in-between live music)

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The B-Sides Party at Hobo is an “open deck” DJ event like no other in Liverpool – for starters, we only use one turntable – Hobo Kiosk’s vintage model! No DJ skills are required, we can play the record for you… but good taste and quirky choices are welcome! We can play a whole album’s side 2 or a 7″ single B-side. All styles accepted. This is a party, and a friendly environment for music lovers who want to meet new people and discover new music!

“We have to create culture, don’t watch TV, don’t read magazines, don’t even listen to NPR. Create your own roadshow. ” – Terence McKenna

CREATE YOUR OWN CULTURE

Special thanks to: Chris Green (Baltic Creative), Julia Auchey (92 Degrees Coffee), Richie Yates and Adrian Wharton for 2021 photos, Tris & Delia Brady-Jacobs (Hobo Kiosk), Nathan Pendlebury (One Nathan Under A Groove Record Fair) and all the performers and DJs who made this festival possible.
