Coffee and Turntables started life as a weekly DJ party on Jamaica Street, in Liverpool’s trendy Baltic Triangle, during Summer 2018.
Peter Martin and Ivan Hell (and guest DJ’s most weeks) brought sunny vibes every Saturday afternoon between 23rd June and 1st September on 49 Jamaica Street, in the Liverpool Baltic Triangle – outside the new 92 Degrees popup cafe (now called The Baltic Roastery) in the Baltic Creative building, hence the “Coffee” of our event’s name – the “Turntables” comes from the fact we only play vinyl.
Coffee and Turntables final instalment (of the season!) took place on 1st September with the first ever Baltic Record Fair.
Though we use the name Coffee and Turntables, we plan to do more regular as well as one-of events under other names in non coffee-related settings, as in fact we have done at the new Craft Minded bar at Cains Brewery this Summer.
But Coffee and Turntables will be back! Our mission is to bring great tunes and good vibes wherever we’re welcome to do so – and you’d better come along, because one thing is for sure – it’s always a blast!
